Stick with the Ick Privacy Policy

NOTICE OF PRIVACY PRACTICES & POLICY

Last Updated: October 15, 2026

Stick with the Ick, LLC (“Stick with the Ick,” “SWTI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the importance of privacy, particularly because people using our Services may discuss deeply personal experiences involving obsessive-compulsive disorder (“OCD”), religious or moral scrupulosity, mental health, religious or philosophical beliefs, treatment experiences, and other sensitive subjects.

This Notice of Privacy Practices & Policy (“Privacy Policy”) explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit our public website, create an account, begin a free trial, purchase or maintain a membership, participate in our SWTI-branded online community powered by CircleCo, Inc. (“Circle”), use our native mobile applications, attend events, communicate with us, or otherwise use our services (collectively, the “Services”). Your use of the Services is also governed by our Terms of Service. By using our Services, sharing personal stories, or participating in community forums, you agree to the practices outlined in this Privacy Policy.

Your Choices and Consent. We want you to understand what information you may choose to share, how we use that information, and the choices available to you. You are not required to disclose sensitive personal information in community posts, comments, profiles, surveys, or other optional communications. Before providing information, please consider whether you are comfortable sharing it and whether it may be visible to other members or processed by our technology providers as described in this Privacy Policy.

By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge that you have had the opportunity to review this Privacy Policy. Where we rely on your consent to collect, use, or disclose personal information, we will request that consent in the manner required by applicable law. Depending on the activity, this may include a separate affirmative choice, such as selecting a checkbox or enabling a feature. We will not treat your general acceptance of this Privacy Policy, your creation of an account, or your purchase of a membership as blanket consent to every use or disclosure of your personal information.

Certain activities, including nonessential cookies or similar tracking technologies, optional features, and certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information, may require separate notice, consent, or an opportunity to opt out. Where applicable law requires consent, we will obtain it before undertaking the activity for which consent is required. You may decline optional disclosures or withdraw consent where permitted by applicable law, although doing so may limit your ability to use a particular feature or service.

1. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our Services, technology, business practices, or legal obligations change. When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date above. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide additional notice when appropriate or required by law, such as through email, an account notification, or a notice within the Services.

2. Web Services and Native Mobile Applications

SWTI is available through both web-based services and native mobile applications for Apple iOS and Google Android. The technologies used to collect and process information may differ between these environments.

On SWTI’s web properties, information may be collected through browser cookies, pixels, tags, and similar web technologies. Within the native mobile applications, Circle and other authorized technology providers may instead process information through software development kits (“SDKs”), device identifiers, app storage, push-notification tokens, application-performance technologies, and similar mobile technologies.

SWTI uses CookieYes Pro to manage applicable cookie and browser-based privacy choices on its web properties. CookieYes does not manage privacy permissions within the native mobile applications.

3. Personal Information We Collect

Account and Profile Information

• name;

• email address;

• username or display name;

• account credentials;

• profile information;

• contact information; and

• other information you choose to include in your account or profile.

Communications With SWTI

We collect information you provide when you contact us, request customer support, complete a form or survey, register for an event or group, provide feedback, or otherwise communicate with SWTI personnel.

Community Content

We may process information and content you choose to provide through the community, including posts, comments, questions, photographs, videos or audio, event or group participation, profile information, responses to discussions, and other Member Content.

4. Sensitive Information You Choose to Provide

                SWTI members may participate in our Services without disclosing sensitive information. However, members may voluntarily share sensitive information that could be visible to other members when posted in community spaces. Such information may reveal or relate to:

• OCD or OCD-related experiences;

• mental or emotional health;

• religious or philosophical beliefs;

• religious, moral, or existential scrupulosity;

• therapy or other treatment experiences;

• medications;

• healthcare providers;

• spiritual experiences;

• relationships and family circumstances; or

• other deeply personal matters.

You are not required to disclose more sensitive information than you feel comfortable providing. Information you voluntarily share in community profiles, posts, comments, groups, events, or other community spaces may be visible to other members who have access to those spaces. Other members may copy, retain, or redistribute information you share, and SWTI cannot guarantee that information disclosed to other members will remain confidential. Please do not post information about yourself or another person that you do not wish to share with that audience.

1:1 Sacred Sparks Information

SWTI is not a clinical practice; our platform provides educational resources and community support. It does not provide medical treatment, clinical advice, or telehealth services. But, SWTI professional and clergy independent contractors offer separately purchased 1:1 support services (Sacred Sparks) for an additional fee. Information you provide in connection with a 1:1 service may include particularly sensitive mental-health, treatment, religious, spiritual, or other counseling information.

5. Direct Messages and Member-to-Member Communications

Circle provides functionality that allows members to communicate privately or directly with other members. To technically provide those features, Circle and relevant infrastructure providers process and store message content and message metadata such as sender, recipient, and date or time.

SWTI administrators and moderators cannot view the content of direct messages between members through the community. They may be able to see limited metadata indicating that a direct message was sent, but they do not have visibility into the contents of the message. If a member reports a direct-message issue, the member may need to provide the relevant message content or a screenshot because SWTI cannot retrieve the direct-message content.

6. Payment and Subscription Information

SWTI currently offers a 7-day free trial followed by a $37-per-month membership unless you cancel before the free trial ends. SWTI also offers a full-year membership option after the free trial at the annual price disclosed before purchase. A payment method is collected when you begin the free trial.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe may collect payment-card information, billing information, transaction information, fraud-prevention information, and payment-authentication information. SWTI may receive your free-trial status, subscription status, payment amount and date, whether a transaction succeeded or failed, renewal information, and limited payment-method information. SWTI generally does not receive or store your complete payment-card number.

7. Information Collected Automatically on the Web

Device and Technical Information

This may include IP address, internet service provider, browser type, device type, operating system, device or browser identifiers, cookie identifiers, and similar technical information.

Usage Information

This may include pages or screens viewed, dates and times of visits, referring pages or sources, interactions with website or community features, events or content viewed, account and community activity, and technical performance or diagnostic information.

Approximate Location

We may infer approximate geographic location from information such as IP address or billing location. SWTI does not intend to collect precise device-location information unless a specific feature requiring it is introduced and appropriate notice or consent is provided.

8. Information Collected Through Native Mobile Applications

Depending on the features enabled, the SWTI mobile applications may process account and profile information, community activity, device and operating-system information, app version information, push-notification identifiers, crash or diagnostic information, and other technical data reasonably necessary to operate, secure, and improve the applications.

Traditional browser cookies are not the primary technology used within native mobile applications. App-based technologies may instead include SDKs, device identifiers, local storage, push-notification services, crash reporting, and application analytics.

9. Cookies and Similar Web Technologies

SWTI, Circle, and certain service providers use cookies, pixels, tags, web beacons, SDK-related web components, and similar browser technologies to provide essential functionality, remember preferences, understand how our Services are used, measure website performance, and, where permitted, measure or support advertising.

Our use of these technologies is described in more detail in our Cookie Policy, including the categories of cookies we use, relevant third parties, and the choices available to you. SWTI uses CookieYes Pro to provide applicable browser cookie and tracking preferences on its web properties.

Where applicable law requires consent before certain non-essential web technologies are used, we will seek that consent through our cookie or privacy-preference mechanism.

10. Important Limits on Advertising and Analytics Tracking

Because SWTI involves potentially sensitive mental-health and religious information, we intend to distinguish carefully between public marketing activity and sensitive member activity.

SWTI does not use the content of private member communications, direct messages, OCD disclosures, treatment information, religious disclosures, or similar sensitive Member Content for third-party behavioral advertising.

Advertising and marketing technologies such as Meta Pixel and Google advertising measurement may be used on appropriate public-facing and membership-enrollment pages, subject to applicable consent and privacy preferences. Meta and Google behavioral advertising tags do not fire within sensitive authenticated community areas and are not used there to build advertising audiences from member activity.

11. Information From Third Parties

We may receive information about you from third parties when appropriate, including Circle, Stripe, analytics or technology providers, marketing partners, social-media platforms, or other services you choose to connect to SWTI. The information received will depend upon the permissions you provide to that third party.

12. How We Use Personal Information

• create and administer accounts;

• administer free trials and memberships;

• process and maintain subscription records;

• operate the SWTI community and mobile applications;

• provide community, group, event, and member-to-member communication features;

• authenticate users and maintain security;

• personalize appropriate aspects of the member experience;

• respond to questions and support requests;

• provide account, billing, security, and administrative communications;

• communicate about events, programs, and SWTI services;

• improve and analyze the Services;

• protect members and enforce Community Guidelines;

• investigate reports of abuse or misconduct;

• detect and prevent fraud or security incidents;

• comply with applicable law and establish, exercise, or defend legal rights;

• maintain appropriate business records; and

• carry out other purposes disclosed when information is collected or with your consent.

We may also create or use aggregated or deidentified information that cannot reasonably be associated with an identifiable individual.

13. How We Disclose Personal Information

Circle

The SWTI community and branded mobile applications are powered in substantial part by CircleCo, Inc. Circle processes information in connection with operating and providing community technology and associated features, even where the experience appears under SWTI branding.

Service Providers

We may provide information to companies that help us operate the Services, including providers of community hosting, payment processing, website hosting, email delivery, analytics, customer support, security, data storage, event technology, cookie-consent management, and professional services. Important current providers include Circle, Stripe, Google, Meta, and CookieYes depending upon the interaction or feature.

Other Community Members

Information you choose to make available in community areas may be visible to other members with access to those areas. Depending upon your settings and the feature involved, this can include profile or display name, photograph, posts, comments, event participation, group participation, and other information you intentionally share. Other members may use or disclose information they receive despite SWTI’s rules, so we cannot promise that information voluntarily shared with other community members will remain confidential.

Analytics and Advertising Providers

Public website and enrollment activity may be disclosed to analytics and advertising providers to measure website usage and marketing effectiveness and, where permitted, to support advertising. Some disclosures may constitute “sale,” “sharing,” “targeted advertising,” or similar regulated activity under certain state laws even when SWTI does not receive money for the information. We will provide legally required opt-out mechanisms where applicable.

Legal and Safety Purposes

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process, respond to lawful governmental requests, investigate fraud or unlawful conduct, enforce our agreements, protect SWTI, Circle, or other persons, establish or defend legal claims, or protect rights, property, or safety.

14. Emergency and Safety Disclosures

In unusual circumstances, if SWTI reasonably believes a person faces an imminent risk of serious physical harm or self-harm, we may use or disclose limited personal information that is available to SWTI to emergency responders, law enforcement, or another appropriate person where reasonably necessary and legally permissible to protect life or physical safety. SWTI administrators and moderators cannot access the content of member-to-member direct messages, so this provision does not mean that SWTI routinely monitors or can retrieve private message content.

15. AI-Powered Features

Circle offers optional AI-powered functionality within its platform. SWTI does not enable Circle AI features in the SWTI community or branded mobile applications.

If SWTI later considers enabling a Circle AI feature, we will evaluate the privacy implications and update this Privacy Policy and any required notices or choices before activation where appropriate.

16. App Store Privacy Disclosures

SWTI will maintain privacy disclosures required by the Apple App Store and Google Play. Those disclosures are intended to reflect the information collected by SWTI and by third-party technology included in the mobile applications. If app functionality or third-party SDKs change, we will update those disclosures as appropriate.

17. Business Transactions

If SWTI becomes involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, personal information may be disclosed in connection with that transaction. Where sensitive information is involved, we will comply with additional notice, consent, or other requirements imposed by applicable law.

18. State-Specific Consumer Health Data Laws

SWTI complies with evolving state laws regulating consumer health and privacy. If you are a resident of specific states, additional protections apply such as the following:

●      Washington & Nevada (Consumer Health Data Laws): We do not collect, process, or share "consumer health data" (including self-reported OCD symptoms or mental health histories) for commercial profiling or advertising without your explicit, separate opt-in consent.

●      California (CCPA/CPRA & CMIA[1]): If you are a California resident, you have the right to request deletion of your data, limit the use of "Sensitive Personal Information" (which includes mental health details), and opt-out of the sale or sharing of your data. We do not disclose health-related search terms or forum posts to third-party advertisers.

19. HIPAA

SWTI's general educational and community Services are not, merely because they involve OCD or other health-related topics, necessarily subject to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (“HIPAA”). HIPAA applies only where its requirements are applicable to the relevant entity, service, and information.

     The general community and separately purchased 1:1 support services may be subject to different privacy and professional-confidentiality requirements depending on the provider, the service, the information involved, and applicable law.

When a qualified professional or clergy member provides a separately purchased 1:1 support service, additional federal, state, professional, pastoral, or other confidentiality requirements may apply. Where a separate Notice of Privacy Practices, informed-consent document, or service-specific privacy notice is required or appropriate, it will govern the information covered by that notice in addition to this Privacy Policy.

20. We Do Not Sell Any Private Member Information, Stories or Interactions

SWTI does not sell, rent, share or expose members’ private discussions, direct messages, OCD-related disclosures, religious disclosures, or personal stories to data brokers or pharmaceutical advertisers. SWTI does not authorize third parties to use private member communications for their own unrelated advertising. We also do not intend to use private or sensitive Member Content for targeted advertising.

Advertising technologies operating on SWTI’s public-facing website may, however, constitute “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under certain state-law definitions even though SWTI does not sell that information for money. Where applicable, we provide legally required opt-out choices.

21. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. Circle, Stripe, and other technology providers also maintain their own security practices for information processed through their systems. However, no website, community platform, mobile application, electronic transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You should use a strong and unique password, protect your credentials, and notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. If a security incident occurs, SWTI will investigate and provide legally required notifications where applicable.

22. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including operating your account, providing membership services, maintaining financial and business records, complying with legal obligations, preventing fraud, enforcing agreements, maintaining community safety, and resolving disputes. Different categories of information may be retained for different periods.

23. Your Privacy and Account Choices

Depending upon your account settings, location, and applicable law, you may be able to update or correct account information, change profile privacy settings, control whether other members may contact you, deactivate or delete an account, unsubscribe from promotional email, control mobile push notifications, manage browser cookies and advertising preferences, request access or correction, request deletion, request a portable copy of certain information, opt out of certain targeted advertising or sale/sharing, withdraw certain consent, or appeal certain privacy decisions.

Privacy requests may be submitted to [email protected]. We may verify your identity before completing certain requests. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

24. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your SWTI account and associated personal information through account-management methods made available by SWTI or by contacting [email protected]. Certain information may be retained where permitted or required by law, including transaction, fraud-prevention, dispute, safety, or legal-compliance records.

25. Cookies, Opt-Out Signals, and Browser Privacy Controls

CookieYes Pro provides SWTI’s web cookie-consent and privacy-preference interface. You can manage applicable browser cookie categories through that interface and may also control cookies through your browser.

There is no universal requirement applicable to all websites to respond to every generic “Do Not Track” signal. Where applicable law requires SWTI to recognize an opt-out preference signal such as Global Privacy Control (“GPC”), we will honor that signal as required by law.

26. Marketing Communications and Push Notifications

You may unsubscribe from promotional emails using the unsubscribe option in those messages. Even if you unsubscribe from marketing, SWTI may continue sending necessary communications about your account, billing, free trial, subscription renewal or cancellation, security, events you registered for, changes to legal terms, and other administrative matters.

If the SWTI mobile applications provide push notifications, you can generally change those permissions through your device or application settings.

27. Social Sharing and Third-Party Links

The Services may include links or tools that allow interaction with third-party websites, social-media platforms, or other services. Information you choose to disclose through those services is governed by the third party’s privacy practices. SWTI does not control the independent privacy practices of third-party websites or services.

28. Children and Teenagers

The SWTI Services are intended only for adults age 18 and older. People under 18 are not permitted to establish SWTI membership accounts or participate as members. SWTI does not knowingly permit or intend to collect personal information through member accounts from individuals under 18. If we learn that a person under 18 has improperly created an account, we may terminate the account and take appropriate steps regarding associated information.

If you believe an individual under 18 is using SWTI, contact [email protected].

29. International Users, Cross-Border Transfers, and Additional Rights

SWTI accepts members internationally. SWTI and its principal operations are based in the United States, and Circle, Stripe, and other service providers may process personal information in the United States and other countries. Accordingly, personal information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in countries whose privacy laws differ from those where you live. Where applicable law restricts international transfers, SWTI will use an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism or safeguard as required.

EEA, United Kingdom, and Similar Privacy Regimes

To the extent the EU GDPR, UK GDPR, or a similar privacy law applies to SWTI’s processing, SWTI will identify an appropriate legal basis for each processing purpose. Depending on the context, those bases may include performing a contract with you, complying with legal obligations, protecting vital interests, pursuing legitimate interests that are not overridden by your rights, and consent where consent is required or appropriate. Sensitive health, religious, or other specially protected information will be processed only where an additional condition required by applicable law is satisfied.

Subject to applicable law, individuals in these jurisdictions may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection; to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and to lodge a complaint with an applicable data-protection authority. Requests may be sent to [email protected]. These rights may be subject to legal exceptions and verification requirements.

Residents of other countries may have additional privacy rights under local law. SWTI will honor applicable rights and mandatory protections to the extent required.

30. U.S. State Privacy Rights

Residents of certain states may have rights concerning their personal information depending upon the law that applies to SWTI. Those rights may include access, correction, deletion, portability, opting out of certain targeted advertising, opting out of sale or sharing, restrictions involving sensitive information, and appeal rights. Where an applicable law provides such rights, SWTI will honor qualifying requests.
